TERMS OF SERVICE

GENERAL TERMS

  • All commissions are priced in USD through Paypal or Stripe(VGEN)

  • Payment must be made 50% upfront. Any remaining balance is due after the approval of the completed work. For VGEN Skeb/Surprise-Me commissions: Payment Is 100% upfront.

  • Commissions are for personal use only (e.g. profile pictures, banners, backgrounds, personal prints, gifts). You may post the finished commission as long as you credit me with my social media handle or not edit/remove the watermark of the full illustration.

  • For commercial use, please contact me directly through [email protected].

  • You may not sell or redistribute my art in any form, physical or digital, print under any circumstances unless you have my express written permission and you have paid for the right to do so. I strictly do not consent my work being minted as NFT nor used to train AI.

  • My usual turnaround is 1-3 months but may subject to change due to IRL schedules and the complexity of the commission. I will usually work on 1-2 commissions at a time while others will be placed on the waiting list until I get to your turn. Waitlisted clients may cancel their reservation anytime.

  • Timelines and schedules may change based on health, work schedule, irl commitments, and the general creative process. Clients will be updated when projects are expected to take longer.

  • I retain all rights to the created artwork and reserve the right to display the artwork(s) on my social media and portfolio. This is negotiable should you prefer a nondisclosure agreement policy for an additional fee.

  • I do not claim any rights to previously designed characters and other intellectual properties used in the process of creation.

  • Please note that I reserve the right to decline a request or discontinue a commission at any time at which a full refund will be issued.

Commission Process

Different commission type may have different treatment depending on the complexity.

  1. Commission Request: The client fills out the commission form via Google Forms or VGEN. Accepted commissions will receive an email and DM with the quotation and timeline of completion. Waitlisted clients will also be notified and will have a slot in the commission tracker. You will be charged and receive the invoice only when I get to your turn / when I'm ready to work on your commission.

  2. Confirmation and Payment: Once the terms are agreed upon, an invoice with the contract/TOS attached will be sent via email or VGen. The client will pay 50% upfront before I can start work. For VGEN Skeb/Surprise-Me commissions: Payment Is 100% upfront and no WIPs/progress shots will be sent to the client until the final delivery of the commission.

  3. Concept/Sketch Approval: Sketches will be sent to the client. Further details and revision on the commission will be discussed during this stage, such as but not limited to: collecting references, deciding on poses and the approval of sketch/thumbnails and rough colored sketch.

  4. Progress checkpoint: For every key stages of the commission (Sketch/Rough Color, Lineart, Base Color, Rendering), a work-in-progress(WIP) will be presented to the client and will wait for the client's approval before proceeding to the next stage. Additional updates are provided exclusively upon the client's request.

  5. Final approval: Once commission is complete, a low-resolution/watermarked version will be provided to the client as a preview. After the client's approval, an invoice will be sent for the remaining balance.

  6. Delivery: Client will receive a high resolution unwatermarked version in .png and .jpg format. Other file formats will be provided upon request. For Pattern commissions, client will receive the base repeat pattern, a high resolution version in the desired wallpaper size plus the transparent files of the chibi characters.

Additional guidelines

  • Visual references are required. Please provide the references and description in the commission form. More refs are highly encouraged (References, colors, desired elements, facial expressions, etc.). Even a stickmen sketch as a pose reference would be greatly appreciated too!

  • The prices outlined in the pricing tab are baseline and subject to change without notice. Pricing also depends on the complexity and scope of each individual project.

  • Add-ins made in the middle of the commission process will reflect in the invoice(for the remaining balance). For commercial commissions: may be subjected to contract amendment and re-signing of both parties.

  • It is the client's responsibility to ensure the commissioned work contains the correct details during the sketch and any key-stage approval, to be reasonably available for any questions, and to provide timely feedback and decisions regarding the commissioned work.

  • Main communication on both parties can be through either email or discord / social media DMs.

  • Should the client fails to respond to the approval request for more than a month, the commission work will be put on hold, and the allotted timeframe/turnaround discussed will no longer be enforced.

  • The client may contact me anytime about the commission, my availability and response will be around 9 AM to 6 PM GMT+8.
